The curse client doesn't exist anymore. Curse is now trying to be Origin, Uplay, etc without actually installing games. Memory usage is a poor metric, more so if you leave it running all the time when that is completely unnecessary when only using it for updating addons. The newer Curse Client is just user hostile.
